A message from Ms. Beth

Spring in the Children’s Room brings our attention to poetry and National Poetry month. As in previous years we’ll have a basket of poems in the Children’s Room, for Poem in your Pocket Day,  April 29th, enough poems for you to tuck one in your pocket, some to share. The Children’s Room is open five days during the week with some evening hours , also open on Sundays.  The library including the Children’s Room is open for browsing, checkout of materials and lobby pickup as needed.   You can contact us at children@sopl.org to request materials for pickup , ask for book suggestion or with any other questions or comments.  Our Children’s Room programs and special events are listed on our monthly calendar, hosted on ZOOM , they can be accessed with one ZOOM click on the children’s page at www.sopl.org.  We are looking forward to providing programs out of doors as the weather improves and especially during our summer reading program , details to be announced. The summer 2021 reading theme this year is “Tales and Tails”, so expect to see lots of fairy and furry stories and programs coming your way
