A message from Ms. Beth
Summer is just about over , time to head back to the library and we are ready for you.
The South Orange Public library is now open five days a week with a look to expanding to six days a week in the months to come.
We are following all the guidelines and protocols as mandated by The Village of South Orange and the state of NJ. Including wearing face masks, enforcing limited capacity in the building while also practicing social distance.
As fall approaches we look forward to meeting the needs and challenges facing the community of South Orange at this moment in time. The first step is to welcome you and family back to the building, invite you to browse for materials, stop by the desk, please say hello. To keep patrons and staff safe we have had to make changes to the look of the room but all the familiar faces are back in our usual places. We know regular routines are important for kids and families; our goal is to make the library part of your regular routine once again.
We are preparing a fall schedule with programs some virtual and weather permitting, drop in programs using our outdoor spaces. As soon as the schedule is finalized it will be posted on the Children’s Room website and as a hard copy in the CR.
Staff is available by phone or email at email@example.com to answer your questions, take comments and provide materials for checkout including items for homework help. We also are happy to give suggestions for a good read from our ever expanding collection of titles in the Children’s Room.
We miss you all and look forward to seeing you soon.
