The main library is closed for construction, and the library has moved its operations to two temporary locations.

Monday  8:30 am – 8 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am – 5 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am – 5 pm
Thursday  8:30 am – 5 pm
Friday  8:30 am – 1 pm

  • Material circulation from our collection
    • New books are on display for browsing; all others must be requested for staff to pull from book room
  • BCCLS delivery
    • More than 5 million items from 77 other libraries available to be sent to us for pickup
  • Reference & reader’s advisory requests
  • Interlibrary loan
    • Any items not found within BCCLS consortium can be requested through JerseyCat, the statewide catalog
  • Computer and Internet access
    • 3 computers for public use; 30 minutes suggested time
  • Museum passes and hot spots
  • Printing and Scanning
    • No fee for scanning; printing is 25 cents/page B&W, 50 cents/page color
    • Wireless printing: email your print requests to print@sopl.org and pick them up within 4 days
  • Notary & proctoring (appts. preferred)

Book drop at main library building @ 65 Scotland Rd., back door (not the green donation bin)
In person when library open at Baird Center (a book drop is coming soon)
